reporting abusive content
hostie acts as a passive intermediary and does not actively monitor uploaded content. if you believe content hosted on our platform infringes your copyright or violates applicable law, please follow the procedure below.
1. scope
this notice and takedown policy applies to all content hosted on hostie.im. it covers copyright infringement (dmca and equivalent), content that violates applicable law, and content that breaches our terms of service.
2. how to submit a notice
to report infringing or abusive content, send an email to admin@hostie.im with the subject line 'takedown request'. your notice must include: a description of the content you believe is infringing or abusive, the url(s) of the content on our platform, your contact information (name, email, and optionally phone number), a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the content is not authorised by the rights holder, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate.
3. what happens next
upon receiving a valid takedown notice, we will: acknowledge receipt within 2 business days, review the notice and assess the reported content, remove or disable access to the content if the notice is valid, and notify the uploader of the takedown (where appropriate and legally required).
4. counter-notice
if your content has been removed and you believe the takedown was issued in error, you may submit a counter-notice to admin@hostie.im. your counter-notice must include: identification of the content that was removed and its original location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake, your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant court.
5. repeat infringers
we maintain a repeat infringer policy. accounts that are subject to multiple valid takedown notices may be suspended or permanently terminated at our discretion.
6. dmca agent
our designated agent for receiving dmca notices can be contacted at admin@hostie.im. all dmca-related correspondence should be directed to this address.
7. good faith
submitting a false or misleading takedown notice may result in liability. we encourage all parties to act in good faith and to resolve disputes amicably where possible.
8. report abuse
the report abuse button is intended for reporting content that violates our terms of service or applicable law. it is not a substitute for legal action or formal takedown notices, additionally, the report button is not monitored 24/7 and may not result in immediate action. for urgent matters, please contact us directly at admin@hostie.im.
